My Child at School (MCAS)

We have recently changed our MIS (Management Information System) to Bromcom. This system is used to record all relevant information about children and families, including attendance, assessment data, contact details, allergies, and medical information.

Bromcom also includes an additional package that allows parents to make payments, book clubs, order and pay for uniform, and approve trips. These features are accessed through an app called MCAS (My Child At School).

We are planning to start our move to MCAS in January and hopefully you will receive an automated email in the next few days inviting you to join MCAS.

Our initial release of the app will include a core set of features, allowing parents to check and update personal information and contact details. We will also be running our wraparound care through MCAS from January. Parents will need to book their child in for paid before and after school club sessions as well as book for paid extra-curricular activities such as cooking club and Magical Tots.

In the future we will be using MCAS for a number of other things including permissions for trips and ordering school dinners but this will be through a phased approach throughout the remainder of the school year.

Troubleshooting

If you haven't received an automated email inviting you to join MCAS, please check the following:

• Check your junk/spam folder for the email
• Ensure the school has your most up-to-date email address
• Important: if you have changed your email address and have yet to notify the school, you have the following options:
  • Telephone or Visit the school the school office to notify them of your new email address.
  • Email info@bradworthy.devon.sch.uk  from your OLD email address, requesting it to be changed. If you no longer have access to your old email address, please email info@bradworthy.devon.sch  from your new account. If you email from your new account, we may be in touch to verify your identity.
