PE and Sport Premium

Participation in sport is a vital part of a child's development and a huge part of school life for all our children.

In the first instance, we seek to engage all children in regular sessions of exercise, through our curriculum, and through participation in additional activities such as after-school clubs.

Our key aim is mass participation by all children, with the expectation that everyone will find sporting activities which provide enjoyment and which they wish to dedicate themselves to.

At Bradworthy Academy we support the following sporting activities as part of our annual sports programme.

Multi-Skills Activities, Gymnastics, Dance, Hockey, Football, Netball, Rugby, Athletics, Cross Country Running, Dodgeball, Climbing, Wakeboarding, Surfing, Orienteering and Hill Walking.

Children across the school will be engaged in at least two hours of activity each week with many children accessing a lot more than this through our extensive range of extra-curricular opportunities.

Children will have the opportunity to take in intra-school competitions, often competing in their house teams, and in a huge range of inter-school events at a local level with other local schools, and beyond this at district, regional and national level.
