The school offers a great range of lunchtime and after school activities and the children are encouraged to take a full part in them. This compliments our free after-school childcare service, and we actively encourage children who are staying behind after school to take part in clubs.
During the course of the year our activities include:
football (boys and girls), netball, rugby,
cricket, cross country running, climbing,
surfing, sailing, kayaking, hill walking (usually on Dartmoor),
Our older children take part in an annual Ten Tors Challenge which involves camping and a thirty mile walk on Dartmoor, spread over three days.
basketball, athletics, hockey, gymnastics,
multi-sports (for Key Stage 1), drama, art, textiles, board games, gardening, choir, brass, ukulele and rock groups.
In addition to this all children are offered a two week block of swimming lessons each year which involves travelling to the pool at Ruby Oakes in our school minibuses.
Many of the clubs lead to the children's involvement in inter-school matches and events.
