As of the 1st of June 2020 the following dinner menu will be in place. It will be repeated on a weekly basis until further notice. Please note that our break service will not be running until September 2020.
We are doing this in order to simplify our service as children begin to return from the COVID-19 lockdown.
Please ensure that we receive all orders for the week first thing Monday morning at the latest.
You are free to use the following form, to email what you want (email@example.com) or to simple send you order in on a piece of paper.
Meals will be free for children in Reception, Year One and for those who normally receive them in other age ranges.
We've been running our own kitchens since 2004 and it has been a fantastic success. We average over 100 meals a day and often serve many more, which is pretty good going for a school of our size !
In 2008 we extended our work and began to offer a Break-time Service so that the children could opt for healthy alternatives to snacks like crisps. This has been a great success too.
It is our aim to offer our children a quality service at a reasonable price. We are committed to using the best possible ingredients and where we can buy fresh food locally. Our food is freshly prepared each day in our school kitchen and of a brilliant standard - and this is the children speaking not me.
We have a dedicated and experienced team who work hard to give the children the best service that we possibly can.
Kitchen Manager - Janet Petherick
Catering Assistants - Tara Sutton, Jean Walter and Robina Tallamy
All children in our Reception Class, and in Years One and Two, are currently entitled to a free school meal each day.
For other children School Meals cost £2.40 per day.
Break service tickets cost 30p each and provide a choice of snacks and drinks.
If you are in receipt of certain benefits (for example Job-Seekers Allowance, Income Support and Child Tax Credits) your child / children may be entitled to free school meals, whatever their age.
If you think your child / children might qualify please use the following link to apply.
School funding is effected by the number of children who are claiming free school meals so we would be enormously grateful to you if you would do this, even if your child gets a free school meal anyway because they are in Reception, or Years One and Two.
We provide menus and order forms each half term and where possible we prefer to take orders for the week on a Monday morning. This said we understand that this isn't always possible and meals can also be booked each day.
The European Union Food Information for Consumers Regulation ( EU FIC) came into force in December 2014.
