Our School Kitchen Service:

We've been running our own kitchens since 2004 and it has been a fantastic success. We average over 100 meals a day and often serve many more, which is pretty good going for a school of our size !

In 2008 we extended our work and began to offer a Break-time Service so that the children could opt for healthy alternatives to snacks like crisps. This has been a great success too.

It is our aim to offer our children a quality service at a reasonable price. We are committed to using the best possible ingredients and where we can buy fresh food locally. Our food is freshly prepared each day in our school kitchen and of a brilliant standard - and this is the children speaking not me.

We have a dedicated and experienced team who work hard to give the children the best service that we possibly can.

Kitchen Manager - Lorraine Young
Catering Assistants - Tara Sutton, Jean Walter and Robina Tallamy

All children in our Reception Class, and in Years One and Two, are currently entitled to a free school meal each day.

For other children School Meals cost £2.50 per day.

Break service tickets cost 40p each and provide a choice of snacks and drinks.

If you are in receipt of certain benefits (for example Job-Seekers Allowance, Income Support and Child Tax Credits) your child / children may be entitled to free school meals, whatever their age.

If you think your child / children might qualify please use the following link to apply.

School funding is effected by the number of children who are claiming free school meals so we would be enormously grateful to you if you would do this, even if your child gets a free school meal anyway because they are in Reception, or Years One and Two.

We provide menus and order forms each half term and where possible we prefer to take orders for the week on a Monday morning. This said we understand that this isn't always possible and meals can also be booked each day.

EU FIC:

The European Union Food Information for Consumers Regulation ( EU FIC) came into force in December 2014.

As a supplier of “loose foods” (those foods which are not pre-packed) we are required to make information available which relates to our menu and any of fourteen allergens that it might contain.

These allergens are:
Celery, cereals containing gluten, crustaceans, eggs, fish, lupin, milk, molluscs, mustard, nuts, peanuts, sesame seeds, soya and sulphur dioxide.

Alternatively please feel free to request the information from our school office.

If your child has any known allergies please make sure that this information has been communicated to school so that our kitchen team can be made aware of this.

If you would like to make any comment about our school meals service please feel free to get in touch.
