BRADWORTHY PRIMARY ACADEMY

Sports Relief

On Friday March 23rd, Bradworthy Primary Academy came together to raise money to support Sports Relief, a very important charity providing help to those less fortunate than ourselves.   As part of our celebrations all of the children wore non-school uniform and took part in a ‘Mad Mile’, where we walked, ran, hopped, jumped and even rode in a wheelbarrow, around a mile long course through the village and school grounds.  We all had a huge amount of fun taking part in this, and it was finished off with a bake sale where the delicious goodies donated by our fantastic parents were sold to raise even more money for charity.

During the rest of the day, the children were involved in a range of mixed team sporting challenges, including a football and netball style match, a shuttle run competition, and a team run around school.  These events were lots of fun, and everyone enjoyed getting stuck in!  Our winners for each tournament are shown below, along with some photos of us enjoying our action packed day.
