Storm Eunice battered Devon this February with record breaking winds and school closures all across the county.
We understand how difficult it can be for parents, with important jobs such as nursing, to organise child care at very short notice.
This is why we opened with a skeleton staff, who live very close to school, for children of essential workers.
The storm raged outside all day and the thirty children who came in took the opportunity to have their own wild day whilst safely tucked away inside school.
We used the whole school to play Hide and Seek and played lots of team games such as “Hunt the Tennis Balls” and “Cross the Lava”.
We even played “Jelly Racing”.
We had loads of fun but, more importantly, there was no serious local damage and no one was hurt.
