Yarn Bombing!

As many of you will have already seen, our Textiles Club are now famous TV stars!  Shortly before the Easter break the textiles club were approached, and asked if they would like to contribute to the Yarn Festival at RHS Rosemoor.  This involved them working for many weeks to create woolen decorations for a tree within the gardens.  While the children were in the gardens decorating their tree, they were invited to be part of some filming for Spotlight News.  The following day, a small group of our textiles experts were filmed with the BBC Reporter, who was thoroughly enjoying the children's creations on the tree, and receiving some finger knitting lessons from our children.   We are very proud of the children who have contributed to the Yarn Bombing project, they have been fantastic ambassadors for our school.  Thanks go to everyone involved in making sure that the Textiles club can take place - both teaching staff and parent volunteers.
