BRADWORTHY PRIMARY ACADEMY

Art Festival 2015

Here at the school preparations for the Arts Festival are well underway for our annual exhibition.

Children have been given the brief for their Underwater Wonder sculptures and many have begun construction.

A giant pink piranha has already been hung up in the hall and a number of large panels are being painted to create a walk through aquarium.

Over the weekend of the Festival we will be putting on a number of musical performances by pupils past and present and these will hopefully include the ukulele band, our current rock band, 180 ͦ [some of our talented former pupils], singer songwriters Amelie and Izzy and a whole chorus of Sea Shanties singers.

Class 4 are working on a dance routine with a watery theme under the guidance of Sue Cottam which should be exciting.

Also on display in the school hall will be the amazing knitted walkthrough installation “Over and Under the Sea”. Having been masterminded by Alison Murray and constructed by hundreds of knitters, including some of our pupils, this inspiring artwork has been touring for several years to international acclaim. Alison herself will be on hand to share her knitting skills.
