BRADWORTHY PRIMARY ACADEMY

Football at Hartland

On the third of November two football teams from years 5 and 6 travelled away to Hartland on an incredibly wet afternoon to play some matches.

The first match was a very tight affair, we created some excellent chances but we just couldn't put the ball in the back of the net, Hartland broke from our corner to score a very fortunate goal for them, the ball hitting the post and bouncing back into the net off of our Keeper's back which he could do absolutely nothing about.

The conditions meant our usually impressive passing game couldn't quite click and unfortunately for us the score ended 1-0 to Hartland.

The second fixture was more successful for us, the team played very well, scoring 3 goals, winning the match 3-1. Maxi Webster scored two excellent strikes from long distance, the third goal was scored by Isabel Arnot, she picked the ball up in the middle of the field, played Rory Edwards through on goal, Rory I will add played a brilliant game of Football, he rounded the goalkeeper then unselfishly squared the ball for Isabel to tap in the finish. A fantastic team performance.
