Jabberwocky at Rosemoor
As part of our first English topic of the year, the children in Year Five visited RHS Rosemoor last week to support our work based on the poem Jabberwocky.
We used the various woodland settings to boost our ideas about the setting of the poem by exploring the trees and woodlands, acting out some of the main parts of the poem and sketching the surroundings in a range of media.
During the day we received many compliments about the children’s behaviour and effort. It is wonderful to have such a positive start to the year, and we look forward to our next trip!
