New England Cargo
Our Year 6 pupils have been involved in an exciting pottery project entitled “ A New England Cargo”
This was organised to celebrate the 17th Century trade in pottery with North America and a number of American and European potters were in Bideford to celebrate the event.
Our children made pots in the traditional North Devon style which were included with pots by professionals in a firing of the wood-fired bottle kiln outside the Burton Museum.
Some of our work will be on show at The Glove Factory in Appledore from 11am -5pm on Saturday and Sunday 28th and 29th September.
