Roald Dahl
As part of the schools’ initiative to develop a love of reading, we celebrated the work of author Roald Dahl and all the fabulous characters that fill his books - from George and his Marvellous Medicine and those foul Witches, to Matilda with her parent-scaring tricks.
As part of our celebrations, we held a cake sale and dressed as one of our favourite characters. Along with this, every class in school performed a poem inspired by or written by Roald Dahl in our school assembly.
Each class took part in a handsome handwriting competition and a Monster Poem writing competition.
The winners were awarded with Scrumptious Wonka bars as prizes!
