Our annual sports day took place in July, and we were treated to two action packed days. All of our pupils were able to compete in races, and matches, along with a full athletics programme for the children in Key Stage Two. Over the course of the two days we were incredibly impressed with the attitude and sportsmanship demonstrated by all of the children, and would like to congratulate them all for doing such a good job.
A special mention must go to Thomas Polhill who broke the school high jump record in spectacular fashion. After clearing the record height on his third and final jump, he then continued to make one successful jump after another, finally finishing the competition with a whopping 1 metre 40 centimetres!
This year’s Sports Day Champions were the Magpies, who gained the most points across all competitions within the Key Stage 1 and 2 events. Congratulations to the Magpies for a well deserved victory!
