The Great Eggcup Challenge
This year Class 6 have been learning some pottery skills and were challenged to design an eggcup.
The eggcup had to be usable. It needed to stand up and have a suitable cavity for an egg. Being imaginative was also a priority. “Bonkers is good” is our motto.
Sure enough, the class produced some really well-made inventive eggcups with everything from camels to aeroplanes.
Choosing the winners was really difficult and most of the teachers had a say in the final selection.
We decided on two champions.
The prize for an imaginative and practical design was awarded to Chelsea Wade, and the prize for a bonkers design was awarded to Sian Hooper.
This whole competition was very enjoyable [as well as educational] and we hope it will take place again next year.
