Year Five visited Falmouth this week, to explore the Titanic Exhibition at the National Maritime Museum. As part of the trip we had a lecture from Captain Smith himself, where the children heard all about the night the Titanic sank, from the Captain’s point of view. We then spent lots of time exploring the exhibition and looking at the exhibits, which included artefacts from the wreck, a full size replica of lifeboat 13, many pieces of Titanic memorabilia, and an art project representing the iceberg that hit the vessel.
As you can see from the pictures, everyone had an amazing time, and gathered lots of extra information to help bring our Titanic topic to a close.
