  • Tarka Tennis 2015

    Sat 28 Feb 2015
Tennis is the perfect winter sport because we use one of our minibuses to travel over to the Tarka Tennis Centre in Barnstaple each week, where we can escape the cold and rain and have a brilliant time developing our skills.
  • Hockey Finalists 2015

    Fri 27 Feb 2015

Our Hockey Team have qualified for the Devon County Finals for the third year running.

We played a tournament at Holsworthy College this week and our A-Team were unbeaten, finishing top of their qualifying group.
We then went on to win our semi-final and then the final where we beat Holsworthy Primary 3 - 1.

  • Simon's Climbing Wall

    Thu 26 Feb 2015
Simon Young comes into school every week to work with us on our climbing.
He's built an amazing climbing centre of his own near St Neot in Cornwall and some of our Year Five and Six children have started to use it more regulary this half term.
As you can see it gives us a brilliant chance to develop and improve our skills - and also have a lot of fun.
  • Penzance 2015

    Thu 26 Feb 2015

The children slept amazingly well, and Mrs T had to wake almost everyone up this morning for breakfast.  They have also been amazingly well behaved and organised, and we have had lots of positive comments from everyone that we have met!

This afternoon we are heading off to Flambards to visit the Victorian Village, and then this evening we have our laser quest challenge - everyone is very excited!  We will check in again later on and let you all know how much fun we are having!

Here are some photos of our fab day yesterday!

Hello everyone!   Its a little after midnight on Day One and everyone is fast asleep.  We have had an amazing day, with lots of fun and exploration at the Eden Project, and a very competitive Ten Pin Bowling match!

The children have settled into bed and fallen asleep remarkably quickly, and are in incredibly high spirits, looking forward to another fun filled day tomorrow!   We will try to update during the day, and after the laser quest battle tomorrow evening to let you all know how much fun we are having!

Mrs T is having trouble uploading lots of pictures at the moment (slow Cornish internet!), so we will try again in the morning over breakfast!

Hello everyone!!   We have arrived safe and sound, and the children are currently devouring their tea before we head out to Ten Pin Bowling.    We've had a wonderful day at the Eden Project and are now fully certified 'Chocologists' (or at least we are fully certified!!).

Mrs T will try and update the page through the evening with lots of photos of the day - iphone hotspots allowing!

Thanks for your comments already - we will read them to the children later on over drinks and biscuits before bed!!

As you can see our Year Three children are looking forward to their three day residential trip to Penzance.

Everyone got away safely - despite the pouring rain and by now they'll be enjoying the Eden Project.

We'll upload photos later on so make sure you check back later to see how everyone is getting on.

  • Netball 2015

    Wed 25 Feb 2015

Our Netball Team has had a busy league season over the winter where we've played lots of competative "High Five" fixtures in the sports hall in Holsworthy.

It was nice to get outside last week when we went to Shebbear to play our first ever seven a-side match.
The new format was a bit of a "learning curve" and we suffered a heavy (13 - 0) defeat but we still had a good time.
    We're looking forward to a rematch !!!

  • Bude Cross Country 2015

    Wed 25 Feb 2015

Cross Country Running is a sport which has been strong in school in recent years and as always we had several teams in Bude last week for the annual competition on Summerleaze Down.

Unfortunately the number of participants was limited this year so quite a few of our children were unable to take part, however it was still a good experience - especially as we were competing against teams from across the South West.

Well done to Imogen in Year Four who finished in second place in the under nine girls’ race.

  • Football 2015

    Fri 20 Feb 2015
Our football league season is just about to get underway so we've been playing a couple of friendly fixtures to get ready.
These photos were taken at Shebbear College where we had a fantastic 5 - 1 win against their Junior School Team.

Our first league match is on Monday 23rd February at Holsworthy College.
If you want to see the fixture list you can look at the diary whch is in the "parent section" of this web-site.
