Over the course of the year our Cross Country teams have been taking part in a series of races on Sunday mornings as part of the Gliddon and Squire Cross Country Series. The final race took place in March at West Buckland School, and the results of the season gave us our best ever rankings.
Our Under Nine Boy's team were able to bring home the silver team award, and our Under Nine Girls were able to collect the bronze team award. In addition to this, our Under 11 Boys team were awarded the team bronze, and we had podium finishes from Toby in Year Three, Adam in Year Four, and Eleanor in Year Five.
As always we are incredibly proud of all of the children who have taken part in this series of races. Their commitment to Sunday Morning races has been excellent, and they have all worked incredibly well as a team, as shown by the fantastic results.
At the end of March we took a huge number of children to the North Devon Schools' Gymnastics Competition, which involved over thirty schools and more than 400 competitors. We were thrilled with the number of children who chose to take part (over 60!), and we are thrilled to be able to tell you about our best ever performance at the event, in both team and individual categories. In all we won an incredible 19 medals, which is an amazing achievement!

It goes without saying that we are incredibly proud of all of the children who competed. Especially, in this event, Dan in Year Three. Dan stepped in to one of the teams who were missing a member due to illness. He learnt the routine 15 minutes before the competition and performed with confidence in front of everyone. Most impressively, the team won a Gold trophy! Well done Dan.
We must also thank everyone who is involved with our Gymnastics teams and the sessions provided in school. Their hard work and incredible effort has again given us an amazingly successful year of results, and some a very full trophy cabinet!
