• Keeping safe at the beach

  Bude lifeguards Amy and Tamsin spent time with all the children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 this morning. They delivered a fun and informative session on beach and water safety and talked about the work of the lifeguards and RNLI. We learned about the meaning of the different flags we might see on the beach and where we should swim to stay safe. They also helped the children understand what they should do if they ever get into trouble in the water. It was a fabulous lesson and one we hope to repeat regularly.

  

• School snacks

  Each day Lorraine, our fabulous school cook, produces a range of delicious break time snacks. The children can get these by buying snack tokens from the office, only 40p each. The photos below show Lorraine on World Book Day. As you can see, she embraced The Hungry Caterpillar theme in her costume and the snacks for that day. If you haven't already, why not give it a try.

  

• Textiles Club

  Our Monday afternoon Textiles Club spent hours last term eagerly finger knitting. Their colourful creations were then turned into over 30 metres of bunting. This was displayed at Rosemoor Gardens over the Easter holiday as part of their Great Wool Weekend. I hope lots of you got chance to see it. It looked amazing and Rosemoor were very grateful for our contribution.
