This year, as we have in the past, we all visited the War Memorial in the Village Square on Friday 10th November. We listened to stories and poems about Remembrance, and spent time listening to the names of men from the village who died during the World Wars. The children learned about the history and significance of the poppy, and we were pleased to be able to share our visit to the memorial with members of the public who joined us for our two minute silence.
The children in Key Stage One were visited by Emazdad on Friday 3rd November.
We were treated to a very entertaining, and funny show, which helped to deliver a very important message regarding road safety.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the workshop and show, and as you can see from the pictures here, the children had a fabulous time developing their awareness of the importance of road safety.

This term the children in textiles club have been designing and creating Sock Monsters. They sewed the sock into their desired shape, adding arms and legs and attaching buttons for detail. As you can see, the children are all really proud of their creations.
