  Our whole school was entertained this week by a visiting theatre group who performed The Jungle Book.

   

  Everyone enjoyed the show and Year Five had the added opportunity to take part in an acting workshop afterwards.

  We played two great games of football this week and had two convincing wins:

• Penzance Photo Album

  It’s hard to believe that our Year Three Trip to Penzance is now over.   
  Over the course of the three days we certainly packed in lots of activities, and kept the children very busy!  Hopefully below are lots of new photos for you to enjoy, which show just how much fun the trip was. 
   

  I would like to take the chance to say again how amazing the children have been throughout this trip.  They really have given every activity their full effort and enthusiasm, with fantastic humour, kindness and manners.  We have received countless compliments regarding their behaviour and attitude, and they were wonderful ambassadors for the school and community.  
   

  Thank you all for your wonderful support throughout the trip - I hope everyone has a very restful weekend!

• Penzance Residential - Trethorne!

  Hello everyone, 

   

  We have had a brilliant morning at Land’s End and the children are now burning off the last of their energy at Trethorne.  
   

  We have lots of photos to share, and will add a Penzance photo album so you can see more of our adventures!

• Penzance Residential - Ten Pin Bowling

  Hi everyone, 

   

  We are currently engaged in a very competitive bowling match, where honour and bragging rights are most certainly going to end up in the children’s hands!!  The children are having a brilliant time and are incredibly enthusiastic and competitive!!  
   

  I have added a few photos from Pendennis Castle in the previous page, and when everyone is in bed tonight I will set up an ‘album’ which is full of lots of other photos from our adventures!  
   

  Hopefully we will get chance (and signal!!) to update the page again tomorrow, but if not, we will see you all at 6pm!

• Penzance Residential - Boat Racing and Pendennis Castle

  Hi everyone! 
  We are currently having a great time exploring Pendennis Castle and finding out all about the history of the local area. 
  We also have very exciting news to report - our boat races were a huge success - with very competitive heats and finals!  
  The winners of each heat came together to race in our overall final which was won by Harry and Freddie! Their award winning boat now has pride of place in the minibus, and they haven’t stopped grinning!! Everyone’s boats were amazing - even the creative efforts of the staff team.  Caroline pipped the other adults to the post this year, and we had plenty of judges to check that this was a fair victory!! 
   

  We will be heading back to the hostel later, and we are ten pin bowling this evening so keep an eye out for some more photos later on!

• Penzance Residential - Day Two - National Maritime Museum

  Hi everyone! 
  We are currently at the National Maritime Museum and everyone is having fun finding out secrets and tips to help when we build our boats for racing. 
   

  The children slept really well last night, and we had to wake up lots of sleepy heads this morning.  Everyone enjoyed a delicious breakfast, and was raring to go! The weather is perfect and everyone is in really high spirits!

• Penzance Residential - end of Day One

  Penzance Residential - end of Day One

   

  The children are all fast asleep as I write this after a fun filled evening in the escape rooms.  We had some great results from each of the teams, and the staff in the escape rooms were so impressed with the children’s problem solving skills!  Needless to say after an action packed day they were ready to drop!!  
  The children have been simply awesome all day today, taking everything in their stride with their usual humour and sense of adventure!! We can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!

• Penzance Residential - Day One

  Hi everyone, 

  We have safely arrived in Penzance and everyone is currently enjoying their dinner! The children have been amazing today and we have received so many compliments on their behaviour and general attitude. Needless to say we are very proud of them already! 
  We will be heading to the Escape Room in a few minutes and we are looking forward to lots more fun!
