  • Dartmoor May 2019

    Fri 31 May 2019
A large group of year sixes ventured out on to Dartmoor once more.  This time we were out learning about navigation, the importance of a map, compass and using our eyes.  We divided into smaller groups and Sir then gave us Grid References to navigate to, using the skills we have learnt.  Every group got an opportunity to navigate us to a point on the moor and we successfully completed an 11 mile walk.A large group of year sixes ventured out on to Dartmoor once more.  This time we were out learning about navigation, the importance of a map, compass and using our eyes .  We divided into smaller groups and Sir then gave us Grid References to navigate to, using the skills we have learnt.  Every group got an opportunity to navigate us to a point on the moor and we successfully completed an 11 mile walk.
  • Penzance Residential 2019

    Thu 30 May 2019

Hello again everyone.  I wanted to update this page once more, to add some photos from our fun filled day at Camel Creek Adventure Park on Friday.  We have hours of fun playing in play areas and on lots of different rides.  We also enjoyed a sneaky ice cream before we headed back to Bradworthy.   As you can see from these pictures everyone made the most of the opportunity to run off any lingering energy!

Over the course of the trip we have been inundated with compliments about the behaviour and manners demonstrated by the children.  They have been absolutely amazing to spend time with, and a real credit to both their families and their school.  I would also like to say an enormous thank you to Ellie Runeckles,  Caroline Stevens and Elliot Lewis.  Their endless enthusiasm and hard work has made the trip run incredibly smoothly, and I am incredibly grateful!  Most of all I'd like to thank all of the children in Year Three for being such superstars!  Well done & thank you!!

  • Laser Quest

    Wed 29 May 2019

This evening we have split into five teams to take part in a laser quest tournament - as you can see everyone is ready and in a competitive mood (especially the staff)!

  • Flambards

    Wed 29 May 2019

Hi everyone, we are currently having a fabulous time enjoying an epic laser quest battle!  We are using the gaps between matches to hopefully upload some pictures from our adventures at Flambards today.  Everyone has had a fantastic day and is in very high spirits.  The children have already been complimented on their manners and excellent behaviour which has been wonderful to hear.   As you can see it has been an action packed day, with some learning and lots of rides and fun!  We've also enjoyed singing Happy Birthday to the lovely Emmy, and we are looking forward to tucking into some cake when we get back to the youth hostel!

Thank you for the messages you have left, we will read them to the children later on.  I will start publishing them as soon as we have uploaded pictures this time.

  • Maritime Museum

    Wed 29 May 2019

Hi everyone!  After a very peaceful nights sleep and lots of wake up calls this morning we have been busy building and racing boats at the maritime museum this morning.  As you can see, everyone created amazing boats and the races were really really close!  Our overall champions were Jayden and Charlie, and Caroline won the teacher's race - all of her practice over the years paid off!!

We had a fantastic night, everyone settled really quickly and slept right through to this morning.  The children have thoroughly enjoyed a cooked breakfast, croissants, pain-au-chocolat and many other goodies for breakfast as well, and everyone is in really high spirits.

Hopefully we will get a chance to update later once we have finished exploring Pendennis Castle, but if not we will try to get some pictures up during the bowling this evening.   Elliot's team won the laser quest overall, so the rest of the group are seeking revenge this evening!!

Thank you for all of the lovely messages!

  • Maritime Museum and Pendennis Castle

    Wed 29 May 2019

Hello again everyone.  We are currently having a fantastic evening bowling in Truro, and everyone's competitive spirit is flowing well!  We have had a fantastic afternoon exploring the rest of the Maritime Museum and Pendennis Castle.  The children have been really interested in what they have seen, and have asked and answered some amazing questions.   We are already increidbly proud of them, and there is still a day to go!  Everyone has eaten really well, and noone has had a shower - in true residential style!  (Sorry!!)

Hopefully we will manage to get a quick message up tomorrow morning before we leave the hostel, but if not, we will see you back at school at 6pm!

The children in our Year Three class are about to embark on their first ever residential.  They are heading to Penzance for 3 days, and as you can see they are just a little excited!  We will be doing our best to update this page during the trip, showing you what we have all been up to and how much fun we are having!  You can also leave a message for the children below and we will read these to them during the trip.
