  • Bradworthy Arts Festival

    Thu 27 Jun 2019
In early May we were very pleased to be able to take part in the fabulous Bradworthy Arts Festival.   The school hosted an exhibition based on individual and class art projects inspired by the ‘Unity’ theme for the festival.  Over the two days we saw many visitors in school, enjoying the children’s fantastic art creations and marvelling at the unique and creative approaches that the children demonstrated.
In addition to the wonderful exhibition of the children’s art work, our pupils were also invited to perform in the musical venue on the village square.  Our rock band, ukulele group and choir were able to perform for an hour to an enormous audience, performing as always with confidence while demonstrating fantastic levels of talent and enthusiasm.
We would like to thank the organisers of the Bradworthy Arts Festival for helping us to participate in the event.  We always enjoy the opportunity to show off the children’s accomplishments, in this case both musical and artistic!

Hello everyone, a quick update with some photos from today's adventures!   The children have already visited the Tate Modern this morning and are currently at Shakespeare's Globe where they are enjoying an acting session before a guided tour.   They are off to St. Paul's Cathedral next, and then this evening they are off to see the Woman in Black - hopefully some more photos will follow later on.

Hi everyone, Mrs T here with a quick update from the intrepid explorers.  We spoke to the group earlier and they had enjoyed a fantastic session at the Houses of Parliament and had moved on to the London Dungeon and/or Shrek Experience.   The plan was to then visit the Natural History Museum before heading out this evening for some laser tag!  We have some photos from the group who enjoyed the London Dungeon (and a sneaky ice cream!), and hopefully we will get some more pictures soon.

Hi everyone, here is an update from Day Two with a few more photos.  The class have had another busy day, this morning they visited Westminster Abbey, then took a River Trip on the Thames to visit the Tower of London.  This evening they are at the theatre to see Matilda.  Everyone is well and in good spirits, after a very good nights sleep!  As you can see from the pictures, everyone looks to be having an amazing time!

    Hi everyone,

The group have safely arrived in a very hot London, and they have had a busy day visiting the London Eye and the National Gallery.  When we last spoke everyone was looking forward to watching Spiderman at the Imax cinema this evening.

Hopefully we will have some more photos to share soon.
