  • Christmas Carol Service

    Fri 21 Dec 2018

At the end of our incredibly action packed final week in December everyone headed to the church to enjoy a Christmas Carol service.  It has to be said, this event couldn’t be more different to the performances we had given during the week, but it was a wonderful way to top up our Christmas spirit and gave us all a chance to focus on the things that are truly important.

We were treated to wonderful carols, with music provided by our amazing ukulele choir, and our younger children were very keen to perform a public service and sing loudly enough to wake up the reindeer at the North Pole!

Thank you to everyone who came to join us in church for the carol service, it is always fantastic to have such amazing amounts of support with these school events.

  • The Ship That Rocks

    Thu 20 Dec 2018

Our Key Stage Two Christmas play this year was something of a musical extravaganza!  We were introduced to a failing pirate radio station with some challenging DJ’s, an orphan with a significant inheritance, and a crew of incompetent pirates.  This led to an action packed musical, in which all of our Key Stage Two pupils took part.

Over the course of the three days the children performed to ‘sell-out’ audiences, and wowed everyone with their talents and their enthusiasm.   The hard work that the children had put into rehearsals certainly paid off, and we are all incredibly proud of every single child.

Thank you to everyone who came to watch the play, and support the cast.  Your cheering, clapping and standing ovations meant the world to the children!  We look forward to seeing you next year for what is sure to be another memorable evening!

  • Christmas Lights

    Mon 10 Dec 2018

On Friday 7th December, we were very excited to be invited to support the official turning on of the village Christmas lights.  We all walked down to the square where we were able to sing a wide range of Christmas songs around the tree.  We were then able to watch the village light up, which was wonderful to see.  After this our pupils from Years Five and Six were incredibly lucky, and were able to sing a rendition of Silent Night with Mr Barry Parsons, the County Councillor for our parish.  This was a wonderful experience for all of the children, and it certainly helped to give the festivities the Christmas mood.

We would like to thank everyone who was involved with the Christmas lights in and around the village, for inviting us to perform and share our music with the community.  We would also like to thank Mr Parsons for his endless enthusiasm and support, and for involving the children in such a memorable performance.

  • Christmas Parties!

    Wed 05 Dec 2018

Once again our wonderful PTA have been very busy, organising amazing Christmas Parties for the children in school to enjoy. This year we were treated to a bring and share party lunch, visits from Captain Coconut, and presents from Santa himself. The children all thoroughly enjoyed their parties, particularly the slime and bubble adventures. We would like to say an enormous thank you to the PTA, who work so hard to give our children these amazing opportunities!
