  • Inter House Cross Country

    Mon 25 Sep 2017
On Monday 18th September we held our interhouse Cross Country competition.  All of the children in Years Three, Four, Five and Six took part in the event, with each runner gathering points for their house teams.  We saw some fantastic running from all of our pupils, and as always we were very proud of their sportsmanship.   Our cross country teams are certainly looking strong this year!  The results of the team competition will added once they have been announced in school!
  • Jabberwocky - Class Five

    Mon 18 Sep 2017

Year Five visited Rosemoor during the first full week of the new term to kick start their ‘Jabberwocky’ topic.  The children took part in many activities, including recording themselves performing the poem, some creative writing in the woods, and some ‘Tulgey Wood’ paintings.   Everyone had a very productive day and gathered ideas for their literacy work.  Visit the Year Five page for some more details!

  • Year Six Visit Appledore

    Fri 15 Sep 2017

The first trip of the new school year took place on Wednesday 13th September, when our Year Six class visited the North Devon Maritime Museum, The Burton Art Gallery in Bideford, and Sandy Brown’s workshop in Appledore.   The children were able to develop their understanding of the maritime history of the area, and also begin to gather inspiration and research for the pottery work they will be developing with Mr Sentance.

  • Leaver's Assembly

    Fri 08 Sep 2017

At the end of the school year we held our Leaver’s Assembly, in which we were able to say a very fond farewell to our Year Six class.  During the event many prizes were given out, including those for academic effort and achievement, sporting effort and achievement, cookery, creativity and musical achievement.  We also crowned the winners of the House Point Cup, and Bradworthy’s Got Talent.  The assembly gave us a wonderful opportunity to say goodbye to our Year Six class, and we all wish them the very best as they move into the next chapter of their education.

  • Bradworthy's Got Talent

    Thu 07 Sep 2017

In July we were treated to the annual ‘Bradworthy’s Got Talent’ competition, and once again we were blown away by some of the talents on display.  It was fantastic to see so many children taking to the stage, and the wide range of talents were wonderful to see.  Our overall winner was Amy Poole, whose beautiful piano playing and singing wowed everyone.  Having seen this year’s contributions we are already looking forward to the competition next year!

  • Summer BBQ

    Tue 05 Sep 2017

The end of year Summer BBQ was blessed with typical British weather - a very rainy evening indeed.  However, this did not stop the fun in any way, and everyone was able to gather and celebrate the end of the school year.  We were treated to a fabulous gymnastics display, with an enormous number of children involved.  Our school rock band and brass bands also performed, along with some of our past students.  The evening was incredibly well attended, and was a fantastic way to bring the year to a close.  We must thank our incredibly hard working PTA, who organised a fantastic event, and worked incredibly hard to put everything together.

  • Year Six Lifeskills and Broomhill Visit

    Mon 04 Sep 2017

Our Year Six children were able to attend the Junior Lifeskills event in July.   During the morning they were able to take part in sessions organised by the Police, Fire and Health Services.  Following this visit they went to Broomhill Sculpture Gardens, where Mr Sentance spent the afternoon showing the children the wonderful sculptures.
