Congratulations to Charlotte, in Year Five, for winning this year's Bradworthy's Got Talent competition. Over forty acts took part, involving children from across the school, and we were treated to dance acts, solo musicians and singers, comedians, bands, choir groups, hoola hoops and even a performing dog !!! The standard was an amazing and an audience of over two-hundred people had a brilliant time at this annual end-of-term event. |

Congratulations to Puffins who won this year's School Sports Day.
Their victory came after two days competition which involved every child in the school - from Reception all the way up to Year Six.
Events included traditional events like "egg and spoon" and "sack" races and team competitions in netball, hockey, rugby and football as well a mixed double tennis tournament.
Athletics events included races from 50m up to 200m as well as relays.
There were also discuss, javelin, shot put, high jump and long jump competitions.
We had two solid days of wonderful competitive sport which was carried out in a sporting atmosphere of support and encouragement and it has to be said that this event was an absolute tribute to the way that all of our children go about everything they do.
This is the final set of photos from the last day of our trip to North Wales, which we spent at Alton Towers.
This provided a completely different set of challenges - and a real mixture of terror and delight !!!
I'd like to thank Megan, Caroline, Helen Lisa and Maurice for their support. This trip wouldn't have been possible without their efforts and I know that everyone is extremely grateful to them for everything they did.
I also know that all of the adults would like to thank the children for the wonderful way in which they went about everything that they took part in.
Their attitude and determination were exceptional and it was great to see everyone challenge themselves in so many different ways and to succeed.
It was a huge pleasure to be away with everyone and to have such a brilliant experience together.
Having had such a great time in North Wales perhaps we should think about going somewhere together next year - London maybe !!
Today was the high point of the week - literally !
Everyone made it safely to the top of Snowdon (and safely back down again) and, whilst it's got to be said that there are some very tiered looking children in the hostel, everyone is justifiably elated at their achievement.
The groups were amazing to work with and their effort and enthusiasm simply can't be faulted.
We're feeling very proud of everyone.
Everyone is having tea at the hostel while this up-date is being made and then we're off for a well earned rest at the cinema.
It's Minions tonight and Alton Towers tomorrow.
This will probably be the last update.
See you all tomorrow at school at midnight.
Our Ten Tors Challenge is our most extreme sporting challenge and it's great to report that twenty children from Year Six were successful this year.
The challenge involves a range of training walks, where we build both our fitness and skills, before a final event which involved a twenty mile day walk across open moorland on the north of Dartmoor.
The medals, which were awarded in our Leaver's Assembly, are probably the hardest we'll ever win !!!
Forest School is a really big part of school life and there aren't many weeks that go by without one of our classes going over to the Tamar Lakes where we take our learning out of the classrooms and into the forest.
These photos show our Reception children having a wonderful time having "tea in the forest" on the last Friday evening before the end of term.
Sorry we didn't get on-line yesterday - as anticipated we didn't manage to get anywhere close to an internet connection.
These photos are from Tuesday evening when we had a brilliant time climbing at the Beacon indoor clmbing centre.
Tuesday (Day 2)
The weather was terrible when we got in last night but the sun is out today and it's lovely and warm !!!
The children have been split into groups to climb, kayak and go gorging today.
These photos are from the climbing group
(except for the selfie which shows the kayakers).
We'll try and get some more photos on this page later today so that you can see what everyone's been up to.
Keep checking back and please leave lots of messages for the children.
