  • Bristol - Laser Quest

    Fri 13 Sep 2019

Hello everyone! Its a little before midnight at the end of day one, and everyone is fast asleep and snoring soundly.

We have had a fantastic evening at Laser Quest, and everyone enjoyed the chance to let off steam.  Unfortunately, uploading photos is taking a very long time, so a few are below, with more to follow at some point!

Thank you for your messages so far!

  • Bristol - Pirate Walk

    Fri 13 Sep 2019

Hi Everyone, we've just finished our dinner this evening and we are currently getting ourselves ready for our Pirate Walk.

We have had a fabulous day, with two wonderful sessions and some brilliant things to see and do.  We started our day at Bristol Zoo, where we took part in a Rainforest session where we were able to find out some fascinating facts about the Rainforest habitat, and meet some animals who live in the Rainforest.  We then explored the Zoo to find as many animals as we possibly could, before we headed to the SS Great Britain for an action packed afternoon.   Here we took part in a workshop based on Isambard Kingdom Brunel, and we were able to recreate the launch of the ship, back in 1843.  After our session we were given a guided tour of the ship, which gave us the chance to see what conditions were like aboard.

This evening we are off to enjoy a Pirate Walk around the Harbouside.  Hopefully below are some class pictures from the day, and I will try to get some more uploaded later on!

  • Bristol - Day 2

    Fri 13 Sep 2019
Hi again everyone, it's a little after eleven pm on Day Two, and everyone is safely tucked away in bed.  We've had a fantastic adventure with our Pirate Walk this evening, and everyone enjoyed embracing their inner Jack Sparrow!   As you can see from the pictures below, we were able to pirate-ify ourselves successfully ready for our swashbuckling.     Once again, the children have been amazing, and have certainly made everyone proud.  Needless to say they are all looking forward to a fun filled day at Crealy tomorrow!  I'd imagine an update tomorrow is unlikely (as we will be having lots of fun on rollercoasters!!!), so we will see you all at 6pm at school.

    Thu 12 Sep 2019

As you can see from the pictures here, we had a very fun filled day at Crealy on Friday to bring our Bristol Residential to a close.  The children thoroughly enjoyed a day playing and exploring rides and other attractions, and certainly used the day to get rid of any remaining energy!  Over the course of the three days we have received no end of compliments about the children, their behaviour, attitude and their ability to get stuck into anything and everything.  It goes without saying that we are incredibly proud of all of the children - they are excellent ambassadors for their school and their families.

As always, the trip was a huge success because of the hard work of so many people and I would especially like to say a huge thank you to Caroline Stevens, Sarah Lewis, Ellie Runeckles, Alex Rushton and Mel O'Reilly for their endless hard work and enthusiasm!

  • Year One RNLI Visit

    Mon 09 Sep 2019

As part of our Beach School sessions year one enjoyed a trip to Bude's RNLI lifeboat station. We had a great time learning about beach safety, different rescues, trying on the protective clothing and pretending to crew the lifeboat!

As the RNLI are a charitable organisation and did not charge us for this visit we asked parents for voluntary donations and managed to raise a total of £35.35!

The RNLI sent us this certificate as a thank you.
