  Hi everyone, 

   

  After a very busy and fun filled day, everyone is fast asleep - with some gentle snoring filling the hallways!! 
  
  We are looking forward to another action packed day tomorrow, and will hopefully be able to upload some photos if we can find a signal!

  
  We are aware that we could potentially meet some delays in our journey home tomorrow as we are driving past the Royal Cornwall Show.  If we are likely to be more than half an hour late we will do our best to get in touch!

• Year Four Residential - Ten Pin Bowling

  We are currently enjoying a very (very!) competitive game of ten pin bowling in Truro! 
  As you can see, everyone is in really high spirits and having lots of fun!

• Year Four Residential - Pendennis Castle

  Hi again everyone, 

   

  We have had a brilliant morning at the National Maritime Museum, and we are now enjoying some exploring of Pendennis Castle! 
   

  The weather isn’t spectacular, but the children are throwing themselves into everything with an amazing attitude and effort!

• Year Four Residential - National Maritime Musem

  Good morning everyone! 
   

  We are currently at the Maritime Museum, after a very hearty breakfast!  There were many sleepy heads this morning and the teachers had lots of fun waking everyone up!  
   

  The children are now taking part in activities to give them hints and tips when they come to build their own boats later on! We will keep photos updated through the day! 
   

  As you can see, we have had a brilliant morning building and racing boats. We had several winning vessels, but unfortunately Mr Lapham was crowned the supreme champion today after he beat all staff and children!

• Year Four Residential - end of Day One

  Hi everybody! 
   

  As I write the children are all fast asleep after a very energetic evening enjoying a play area and laser quest challenges! 
   

  The children have been remarkable today and we have received countless compliments on their manners and excellent attitude. Needless to say we are very proud of them! 
   

  I have hopefully uploaded some photos from this evening, and a few extra photos from the day's adventures!

  We have safely checked into the youth hostel, and everyone has enjoyed a very delicious evening meal!
   

  We’re just getting ready to head off for a fun filled evening in an enormous play area and laser quest arena. Hopefully this evening you’ll get lots of photos of the staff being humiliated laser quest!

• Art Exhibition - Summer 2022

  FAMOUS PEOPLE 1972-2022

   

  BRADWORTHY PRIMARY ACADEMY ART EXHIBITION 2022

   

  It’s always a nervous time waiting for models to arrive in school for our Art Exhibitions. Has anybody bothered? Will it be any good? But then in pour dozens of amazingly imaginative, original and bizarre creations.

   

  Wow! The variety and quality puts my brain in a spin and makes me very proud. The idea was to build a model of someone who has been famous in the last 150 years, since the school was founded in Braworthy.

   

  We divided this up into 25 year chunks, one for each class and made a few suggestions. Although some of the suggested people were snapped up many other inspiring individuals were called to mind by our pupils.

   

  It would appear that the most influential people of the time period were….Florence Nightingale, Queen Elizabeth II, Charlie Chaplin, Winston Churchill, Neil Armstrong, Princess Diana and Cristiano Ronaldo [whoever he is].

   

  There were racing drivers and aeroplanes, cats and dogs, princesses and scientists, artists and authors, explorers and film stars, human rights activists and bank robbers.

   

  It was a great show this year with lots of enthusiastic feed back and some families coming back several times to admire the work.

   

  Well done all those friends and relations who have helped with a bit of welding, sewing and joinery! Your time was well spent and we are nurturing young folk and teachin them skills you don’t learn on a computer.

   

  Well done all our Artists and Sculptors. It is good to know that we have so many individuals who are not afraid to follow their own enthusiasms and interests and to follow their own path.

   

  It is individuality and imagination that make the World a rich and colourful place to live.

   

  I won’t be nervous next year.

  Well, maybe I will a bit until the work starts coming in again!
